IMMUNIZATION
Students who enroll in DoD Dependent Schools (DoDDS) must meet specific immunization requirements. These requirements, displayed below, represent the minimum requirements and do not necessarily reflect the optimal immunization status for a student. The DoDDS immunization requirements are based on the policies of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), Department of Health and Human Services, and information from the National Center for Disease Control.
DoDDS requires the following immunization for all students:
Polio (OPV) - 3 doses with at least one occurring after the fourth birthday
Measles-Mumps -Rubella (MMR) - 2 doses with at least one occurring after the fourth birthday
Hepatitis B (Hep B) - 3 doses for those not vaccinated in infancy (The series should be completed prior to the 13th birthday.)
Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) - 2 or 3 doses in infancy with catch-up vaccinations for those missed in infancy. Hib immunization is not required for individuals five (5) years of age or older.
Varicella (Var) - Unvaccinated persons who lack a reliable history of Chickenpox should be vaccinated at age 11 - 12. Persons 13 years or older should receive two doses at least one month apart.

The following health screening programs are carried out at our school each year. If you do NOT want your child to participate please notify the school nurse at X3309.
Vision screening for all students.
Hearing screening for all students.
Dental screening in February for all students who have a signed consent form.
Scoliosis screening for all fifth and sixth grade students.
